Projectile speed allows projectiles to travel further before they expire. This can be quite useful with certain skills/builds, such as Spark since it was already mentioned. It also makes projectiles arrive at their target sooner. In a lot of cases this isn't super important, but for some skills it can be quite good.
Projectile Speed (also known as projectile velocity or flight speed) is an attribute in non-hitscan weaponry, that defines how quickly a weapon's ammunition travels to a target after leaving the weapon.
Projectiles are entities which are produced by a spell or ranged attack which travel independently of their creator until they collide with an enemy or obstacle or reach their travel distance limit of 150 Units.
Whenever a projectile collides, it will attempt each of its remaining behaviors, prioritized in this order: Split, Pierce, Fork, Chain, Return. Only a single behaviour can occur per collision.
It all can combine yes. Like if you have 2 pierce, 1 chain, the projectile will pierce the first 2 targets it hits, and then chain when hitting the third one. Unless you have special modifiers that don't allow behavior, look at snakepit for example.
The absolute speed record belongs to ballistic missiles – their warheads can achieve speeds of Mach 25, or 8,280 meters per second (27,170 feet per second).
While traditional cartridges cannot generally achieve a Lunar escape speed (approximately 2,300 m/s [7,500 ft/s]) or higher due to modern limitations of action and propellant, a 1-gram (15-grain) projectile was accelerated to velocities exceeding 9,000 m/s (30,000 ft/s) at Sandia National Laboratories in 1994.
As the projectile rises towards its peak, it is slowing down (19.6 m/s to 9.8 m/s to 0 m/s); and as it falls from its peak, it is speeding up (0 m/s to 9.8 m/s to 19.6 m/s to ...).
The order of operations are the rules that tell us the sequence in which we should solve an expression with multiple operations. The order is PEMDAS: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, and Division (from left to right), Addition and Subtraction (from left to right).
Ricochets: Spark projectiles will bounce off of terrain obstructions and edges for as long as they persist. If a spark projectile strikes a mob, it will be absorbed unless it can pierce. A single cast of Spark can hit an enemy once every 0.66 second (after patch 2.3).
Action Speed is a modifier that make your character do anything #% Faster. It not movement speed, cast speed, attack speed. You can see it as your character does #% everything More Fast, even recovery from stun.
Kinetic Blast Pathfinder is one of the fastest builds in the game, clearing whole screens with Kinetic Blast and Herald of Ice Explosions. Barrage scales very well with additional projectiles, so investing into Dying Sun will help you melt bosses within seconds.
Speed. The Speed value establish which character moves first. This value can be modified by Auras, Curses, Perks, Items, Equipment and active effects. In case of a tie, the closest Hero to center will have priority.
